You and Your Business Deserve This

Every entrepreneur faces the same conundrum; falling into the trap of working in your business. That may seem like an erroneous statement, but it’s a true statement. Whether you’re running a grocery store, a construction company or the family ranch, business owners often fall victim to constantly working IN their business instead of ON their business.

As the business owner, you wear a lot of hats; CEO, CFO, COO, HR Director, Marketing Director and general labor. The go-to solution is often, “I just need to work harder,” or “I just need to hire more help.” While either of those statements may have some truth in them, often times, the real truth is revealed when you take the luxury of time to step back, look at the big picture of what you’re trying to accomplish, and create a better path. Sounds easy enough, right? If it was easy, businesses wouldn’t have such high failure rates, and multi-generational family businesses would succeed well beyond the third generation. Statistics tell us otherwise. So what can you do to prevent yourself from falling into the trap?
