Attorney General Eric Holder announced on Tuesday that, in the wake of allegations that the Internal Revenue Service has been improperly scrutinizing the tax-exemption requests of tea party and other groups, he has ordered an investigation “to see if any laws were broken.” He called the IRS’s actions “outrageous and unacceptable.”
